Widgets conflicting with plugins

Hi there!
So, I’m not sure if I’m a complete newbie on this, but have you noticed any issues with the Widgets interface for this theme when specific plugins are installed? Sometimes I will activate the plugin and then the Widgets page only shows a few of the options, none of them are clickable, and the sidebar disappears altogether. Is this a theme-specific or overall wordpress thing?
Some of the plugins that are conflict are WP-Polls, or the ‘Democracy’ Wordpress plugin: wordpress.org/extend/plugins/democracy
